Pellergy LLC, based out of Central Vermont, designs and manufactures wood-pellet central heating systems, and as a wood-pellet solutions company, Pellergy is also committed to providing consumers with all the tools they need to make informed decisions about heating with less expensive, environmentally responsible wood pellets. What makes this system unique? It can be retrofit to a homeowners’ existing heating system.
Kate Paine Associates was hired to gain earned media for this new alternative energy, Vermont-based company. During the late fall of 2010, KPA caught the attention of Vermont’s CBS-affiliate TV station, WCAX-TV, Channel 3. They interviewed Pellergy founder and owner, Andy Boutin, about the new system along with a homeowner who was thrilled with her new Pellergy system.
A few weeks later, KPA was able to get Andy Boutin on the Mark Johnson Show at Radio Vermont for a live, on-air interview. Both the TV and radio interviews resulted in many calls to Andy about his system. He has since seen an increase in both awareness and system sales.
In March 2011, The Times Argus newspaper wrote an article about the wood pellet burner system and Andy’s development of this technology. Further interest in Pellergy has caught the attention of both the Governor’s office and Vermont’s congressional delegation.
Turning Words Into Action
“It has been a great pleasure working with Kate Paine and her team. I can unreservedly recommend them for their expertise, creativity both in developing messages and securing cost-free publicity, sensitivity to difficult issues, and utter dependability. Kate is well-connected to the media and has excellent working relationships with station directors, editors and producers. She is full of creative strategies for all kinds of communication.”
